Honorable Senator Bill Nelson
United States Senate
Washington, D.C. 20510Dear Mr. Nelson:
I would like to thank you for your supportive attitude in favor of toppling
Fidel Castro’s tyranny and communism in Cuba.It is my pleasure to share a copy of my letter to HIS HOLINESS JOHN
PAUL II, The Vatican. It was on April 21, 1997. The letter dealt with the
communist tyranny imposed by Fidel Castro on Cuba for more than
forty two years. His totalitarian regime is the only one that has imposed
a blockade on the martyred and long-suffering Cuban people;
which he jails, executes and coldly murders in various inhumane
forms, starves, discriminates, and enslaves. Castro has systematically
violated their most basic of human rights. The terrible tragedy of February 24th 1996 in which four young men
lost their lives, is the most clear example of what man can do. It also
proves that there can be no dialogue or negotiations with Fidel Castro
who shows no compassion for human life.No military chief in Cuba dares to give an order of such importance
involving so many international risks. The Castro regine showed its
true colors that Saturday of February 24th 1996, when he ordered the
downing of the two small American planes unarmed blown in the air
by the assassins of Fidel Castro’s obscene tyranny.Mr. Nelson, I am including my write up, regarding this important
matter.Hoping to hear from you.
Respectfully yours,
Manuel Blanco
