Dignidad Cubana

"Honorable George Bush"
Miami, February 12, 2001

Honorable  George  W.  Bush
President of the United States.
The White House
Washington, D.C.

Dear Mr. President:

      C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S

I would like to thank you for your strong attitude in favor of toppling
Fidel Castro’s  tyranny and communism in Cuba.

The terrible tragedy of February 24th 1996 in which four young men
lost their lives, is the most clear example of what one man can do. It also
proves that there can be no dialogue or negotiations with Fidel Castro
who shows no compassion for human life.

No military chief in Cuba  dares to give an order of such importance
involving so many international risks. The Castro regime showed its
true colors that Saturday  24th 1996, when he ordered the downing of
the two small planes unarmed blown in the air by assassins of Fidel
Castro’s obscene tyranny. Mr. President, I am also including my write
up, regarding this important matter.

We demand the humane treatment of the exile Cubans and that you
grant them political asylum, according to the international laws and
human rights. We also ask that these refugees not be returned to Cuba because extreme reprisals will be taken against them by the
communist  tyranny. For forty-two years Fidel Castro has been
starving, intimidating, and torturing opponents of his regime in
filthy jails. I am including my poem Miserable Misfit.

Hoping to hear from you:

Respectfully yours,

Manuel  Blanco
